According to the Road Traffic Authority, from the 1st of January to the 28th of July 2024, 735 people have been seriously injured, and 113 killed on Irish roads. Whether the victim is a driver, passenger, pedestrian, cyclist or another innocent bystander, road traffic accidents have the potential to cause considerable physical and psychological injuries to road users.

Depending on the facts of the case, if it can be proven another person, business, or organisation was to blame, a claim may be brought against them for the damages which resulted.
